PFOL!

Yes PFOL - -- Prom for Old Ladies - - or otherwise known as the first Formal Night. One of the highlights for any female on a cruise is the formal nights -- - at least for the females I know. The three of us had been planning for months exactly what to wear and of course what shoes and jewelry everything. I think we have just as much fun planning and anticipating for the trip and especially the formal nights than we have that night.

The day had been spent exploring the ship and showing BB (the novice) all the ropes. I have to say that she took to it like a duck out of water - - -and anyone she met in the elevator must have thought she was an experienced world wide cruiser! It was great!

We had ordered a bottle of champagne to celebrate our first “prom” together. The dinner fabulous and the after dinner show a great treat! It is amazing to me how they can do such an energetic and entertaining dance show with such a small stage, a handful of performers and the boat rocking! We played out parts and pretended that this was all in our usual course of daily living. All the while stealing a giggle and squeal here and there. I was worried that BB might “buster her toes” (old family saying and a story for a future blog, promise!) and her shoes would fling off but everything went smoothly! So we stepped into another world for the evening and enjoyed every bit of it!
