While we are on our cruise - - -like all good parents we are sending Leo off to “camp”. It actually seems a little more like penal incarceration with his cage and “yard out” but I didn’t figure he’d be too excited if we told him he was going to “prison” for a week. So, camp it is! And like all mom’s I’m a little worried about how he will do although this place is one of the best “camps” around with is own attached yard area and sleeping quarters inside.
Nineandahalf (who claims to not like little dogs) has packed a rolling bag for Leo - - -washed his favorite ginky and rounded up some of Leo’s favorite squeaky toys for him to take to camp complete with a fresh bag of his favorite dog food.
I’m not sure how Leo will make it an entire week without the cats, especially Bonnie, telling him what to do and keeping him in line. Hmmm . . .maybe this will be a nice break for him and seem like camp! He won’t have to gobble his food in fear that one of them, usually Sophie, finishes it off and he can sleep in the sun without another cat snuggling up next to him . . . .and he won’t have to worry about Clyde who has taken to chewing on a couple of Leo’s toys . . .and then there’s the wild cannon, Sammi aka Baby Kitty, who is . ..well who is just everywhere doing everything.
I’m sure Leo will do just fine . . . . so today his blanket washed, toys gathered and a bath this evening and he’ll be all set!
