A view from the top!

Oh what a marvelous day in Tracy Arm! And what a great view from the top . . .the top of our marvelous country - -Alaska – the last frontier. While the glaciers are not as spectacular as Glacier Bay it was still gorgeous and a warm wonderful day -- the best I’ve ever seen in my 4 visits to Alaska - -- All in all our weather was absolutely perfect! Even the captain commented that this day was stellar and a one of a kind sorta day!
With that said -- -the great day did limit us a bit . . .The seals and sea lions . . and of course the baby’s were all out on the ice. So that we didn’t disturb them we could not get very close to the glaciers. But to see the babies on the ice was a thrill! In the picture you can see a mama and a baby on an iceberg and the black specs along the ice water edge are all seals. We could see them thru the binoculars and it was so fun to see these amazing animals in their natural environment - -- Note to all: If you ever go to Alaska be sure to take binoculars!

Here’s a couple more pics of the amazing scenery - - -

Of course Nineandahalf had to get us some Baileys and Coffee while we were out on the deck . . . .

And in Holland tradition they served split pea soup! That was a great treat for me since Nineandahalf hates anything with peas! It was great!

Life doesn’t get any better than this!
