Mr Lindstrom, in the Piano Bar with Sticky Fingers!

And this brings us to the Great Camera Caper of 2009 –

After a day of beautiful scenery and a warm gorgeous day in Tracy Arm, a wonderful gourmet dinner and a show, we met up with Bratty Brat in the Piano Bar. We had discovered the Piano Bar a couple of nights earlier and really enjoyed the sing along with Lady Heather. BB was sitting on a stool around the piano and we three quickly took up residence around her. They were planning a game of Name That Tune and we thought that might be fun. So we sang for a bit and then the game was to start.

Next to BB there was an empty stool and a “gentleman” who was quiet enthralled with BB. His name was Clayton Lindstrom and this married chap was from Edmonton, Alberta. He was quite the voyeur and a little obnoxious not only with BB but also with Lady Heather. The game was over and we were having a great time . . (FYI I’m using some poetic license here so you’ll have bear with me - -remember that as we were told “What happens on a cruise ship, stays on the cruise ship”>) With that said, Phine left first followed by Nineandahalf and myself. It was about 11:00 and the night was still young. We wanted to get a good place to perch near the dance floor and boogie the night away. BB said she would be right up.

Here's a picture of the sticky fingered culprit sitting at the bar while Lady Heather makes the ivory sing!

We looked for her ... but she never arrived which wasn’t too unusual. We each had things we enjoyed and without a dance partner I can imagine that dancing might not be too much fun . . .Although group dances and dancing without partners is very common on cruise ships! Good music . . life is short . . .might as well dance!

Shortly be 1 AM we returned to the room and she was asleep. So what else could we do but order room service, of course! Dancing definitely works up an appetite. So there we were at 2 AM eating burgers and club sandwiches! It was a great night - - -

So now the stage is set . . . .and the crime is about to be realized - - - -

The following morning, BB realizes that she is missing her camera. We had been taking turns taking pictures in the Piano Bar and without asking Mr Sticky Fingers picked it up and started taking pics of all of us. Somehow the camera was now missing. Using our best sleuthing techniques and manning all possible vantage points, we were able to find him! When asked about the camera, he appeared nervous and said that “he would look in his cabin again.” AGAIN? What did that mean?

Even though it had not been 24 hours, we filed a missing camera report. And we searched and searched - - -but no camera. And so it is that half of our picture memories of the trip are lost forever!

As for all of us . . .we are certain that Mr. Sticky Fingers is enjoying a new digital camera! I hope he enjoys our pictures!
